I found no pirates here in Penzance but rather a great base to chill and relax. The hotel overlooked the sea and had a pool and plenty of areas to kick back and read a book. The weather cooperated for the most part. I actually swam in a non-heated outdoor pool for the first time since moving to England. St. Michael’s Mount was just a few minutes east of our hotel and was totally worth the price. We paid to cross the water via boat as the tide was in during our visit.
